1. The Arabs -
2. The man who mistook his wife for a hat
3. all materials related to NP and bosnian/Janissary system in Ottoman Empire
4. Evolution: The Triumph of an Idea

1. The Arab -
Why would I choose reading such a book? I am the most disinterested person in the Arab World, culture, religion, etc. Never have I ever felt any attraction to Arabs. East Asians, African, Ancient World - my domain.
Nevertheless, to understand the situation in globalization and cultural disruptions across Asia and Europe I had to avert my eyes to this subject.
This book includes quite a detailed overview of the recent Arabic history and tries to explain why would Arab people be in this place where they are now. It is a good book to understand the diversity of the Arab world and its current position. If only not for long descriptions of events, I would enjoy the book even more. I lack a good memory for details, so I prefer to grasp the big picture rather than go into incidents and details.

2. the man who mistook his wife for a hat
This book is a great description of the malfunctions of the right-hemisphere and cases of patients. I tried to read this book before but could not grasp the importance or relevance of nowadays situation. Nevertheless, I feel like the whole world gone crazy around mysterious diseases and sickness. Netflix and Korean Doramas greatly benefit from this field. It would be precious to my fictional story-scenario.

3. all materials related to NP and Bosnian/Janissary system in the Ottoman Empire
The reason why I am obsessed over NP history is that I believe that Haris has got a very amusing DNA. On the contrary, my DNA is boring and I know that there is nothing extraordinary in my ancestors' history - surely, there were great stories which my parents do not know because they were too young when they lost their parents - thus, I find it romantic to imagine that Haris' ancestors' past is richer and does not tie up only to Sandzak region. Once I found the answer to the problem of Kazakh lack of religiousness and ties to Islam, I started to investigate Bosnian DNA history and origins. Especially, my interest was hooked on Haris's stories that the people who lived in Sandzak were sort of pagans and starovery. (My interest covers only Sandzak region, excluding BiH). I cannot deny the fact that I partially try to justify our choices to be together and my will to relate to each other even more. There are very few adequate articles and materials on this subject but I am trying to dig in slowly.

4. Evolution: The Triumph of an Idea
I have tried to read the book of Karl Zimmer before but it was such a long time ago that most of the information I had read is erased from my memory. Ideas and information are shady in my mind. So, will try again. I still think that my interest in this book is owed to an intriguing book cover.

5. Battling the Gods
This book proves that Atheism had a place in human history ever since there was a society and those who claimed to harness/understand supernatural. I could not develop an opinion on the content yet but it's triggering my attention. Die-hard religious studies scientist in me requires so.

6. Colonial Rule and Social Change in Korea, 1910-45
A very interesting study on the situation in Korea and the consequences that the Korean community had experience under Japanese Usurpation. I got stuck in the middle because could not go through statistics and scientific descriptions that the writers used.
